Financial Aid & Scholarships
American University of the Caribbean is approved for participation in the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan Programs (Direct Loans). Completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is required . Graduate/professional level students are considered independent by federal regulations for Direct Loans, therefore it is not necessary to supply parental information. Federal regulation requires students who borrow student loans to complete entrance counseling. Please click here to access the entrance counseling session.
Financial aid application process consist s of completing the FAFSA, entrance counseling and the Master Promissory Notes at www.studentloans.gov. When applicable, documentation of citizenship or permanent residency may be required. AUC's school code for completing the FAFSA form is G22444.
Qualified citizens and permanent residents of the United States may be eligible to receive funding from the Federal Direct Loan programs to fully cover the cost of attendance (tuition, books & supplies, accommodation and travel). Canadian students should consult with their province regarding financial aid resources available to them. Veterans and their dependants may receive funding per the eligibility requirements set by the Veteran's Administration. Contact the VA via the web at www.gibill.va.gov or at 1-888-442-4551
Students interested in applying for financial assistance can contact the Financial Aid department at 305-446-0600, ext. 1017 or send an e-mail to finaid@aucmed.edu. Please note that any student with a conditional acceptance is not eligible for financial aid and that federal financial aid is available only to qualified U.S. citizens and permanent residents. If you are not a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, please review your financial resources to ensure funding is sufficient to cover the cost of attendance at AUC.
