Travel Documents

Prior to traveling to St.Maarten it is important to secure the necessary documentation. As a convenience, we have listed the documents that you (and your family) will need in order to live on the island of St.Maarten while you study at AUC. If your country of origin is not listed below, please contact your consulate’s office to inquire about the required travel documents. Temporary Residency Permit Documents:

To acquire a temporary residency permit, you will need to provide MEAS with the following documents for yourself (and your spouse and children, if applicable):

  • A legible copy of a valid and signed passport with photocopies of all of the pages including the blank pages
  • Copy of Birth Certificate (legalized or sealed with an Apostille Stamp not older than 6 months)
  • Original Police Report/Letter of Good Standing from your local Police Department (less than 6 months old)
  • Copy of Marriage Certificate
  • Three original passport-sized photographs (2” x 2”)

Please note that students may travel with a one-way ticket. Other family members must have proof of a roundtrip airline ticket.

St.Maarten Entry Requirements for United States Citizens/Residents

  • Valid passport (please check your passport to make sure it is signed and has not expired)
  • Acceptance letter
  • Naturalized citizens must show an original naturalization certificate with photo identification
  • Permanent Residents must travel with their Green Card and valid passport

Canadian Citizens/ Residents

  • Valid passport
  • Residency permit
  • Landing permit

All Other Countries
