The breadth, depth and rigor of the clinical phase of the curriculum at American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine is one reason why AUC graduates consistently find residency positions at prestigious programs across the United States.
AUC’s Office of Clinical Student Affairs (OCSA) provides extensive orientation and advising for students, especially as they get ready to leave the Basic Medical Sciences campus on St. Maarten and progress into the clinical stage of their AUC education.
Locating Exciting Opportunities
A critical resource for students in semesters six and beyond (as well as for doctors, hospital professionals, student coordinators, medical educational directors, and the medical community in general), OCSA offers numerous services and resources designed to enhance the clinical educational experience at AUC. As an AUC student, you will have:
- Friendly counselors dedicated to helping you schedule Core Rotations and Elective Rotations at more than 30 clinical sites across the U.S. and England
- Access to a current list of available clinical sites as well as to information about the profile of your preferred site(s), the core rotations offered, and available electives
- Support and resources to assist you successfully pass the USMLE Steps 1 and 2
- Coordinated access to an array of administrative, registration, and documentation services provided through the Offices of the Registrar, Graduate Certification, and the Clinical Dean
