Financial Aid
American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine is eligible to participate in the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan programs. American University of the Caribbean is approved for participation in the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan Programs (Direct Loans). Completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is required. Graduate/Professional students are considered independent and therefore, it is not necessary to supply parental information on the FAFSA. Qualified citizens and permanent residents of the United States may be eligible to receive funding from the Federal Direct Loan programs to fully cover the cost of attendance (tuition, books & supplies, accommodation and travel). Canadian students should consult with their province regarding financial aid resources available to them. Recipients of federal loans must go through exit counseling prior to graduation, separation or less than half-time attendance. To access the exit counseling session, please click here. Loans will be summarized and terms of repayment, deferment, and responsibility will be reviewed. Student borrowers are awarded loan funds to pay for their education on the basis of a promise to repay after leaving school. Failure to do so can result in adverse consequences.
Scholarships
AUC offers scholarships to a limited number of qualified incoming medical sciences students. To be considered for a scholarship, a candidate must have demonstrated outstanding undergraduate academic achievement. Recipients will be notified prior to matriculation and must accept the award within fourteen days after the scholarship is offered.
