In affirmation of our commitment to our students and mission, AUC has embarked on an ambitious Campus Master Planning Project to expand the St. Maarten campus and improve existing facilities.

The faculty at American University of the Caribbean are dedicated to providing the knowledge and resources it takes to succeed in medicine. Members of faculty hold an M.D., Ph.D. degree or both, and AUC's small class size make them highly accessible to answer questions and provide guidance to students.

Top-notch faculty, a wide range of academic resources and support services, and extensive USMLE Step preparation help AUC graduates to secure a variety of competitive and non-competitive residency placements. In the 2010 Match, graduates matched into 34 of 50 states and 50 percent received their first choice for residency (based on a 65 percent report rate).

St. Maarten, also known as the "Friendly Island," is one of the most beautiful and exciting places in the Caribbean. AUC students have the opportunity to experience three distinct cultures including the French and Dutch sides of the island as well as the exotic native heritage. With dozens of pristine beaches and lagoons and over 300 restaurants, it's easy to understand why St. Maarten is referred to as the "Gourmet Capital of the Caribbean."
