Residency Information

For 2015, AUC graduates earned more than 200 residencies in hospitals and healthcare centers around the country. Recognition by the Texas Medical Board facilitates an AUC graduate’s application for physician licensure. The Texas Medical Board has determined that graduates of AUC have demonstrated substantial equivalence of their education.

Did You Know? Fun Facts About AUC and Texas

Heidi Chumley, MD—Executive Dean of AUC—is a native of Texas. She attended Abilene Christian University, Abilene, where she earned her bachelor's degree in biochemistry. There's more: Not only did she earn her medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio, but she completed her family medicine residency there, too. Dr. Chumley practiced in University Health Systems, San Antonio, from 1999 to 2004.
