In 2002, American University of the Caribbean completed student housing renovations in order to make available newly furnished student apartments featuring one and two bedroom units with a desk, chairs, couch, refrigerator, stove, microwave, bed, and dresser. Apartments include a kitchen, dining/living areas, and are fully air-conditioned. There is a bathroom for each bedroom in the apartment. All apartments are wired for telephone or Internet connection and TV cable. Students are responsible for maintaining their own accounts for these services. Many apartments have a balcony and offer magnificent ocean views; all are open to trade winds.

Student apartments are adjacent to the AUC medical campus and walking distance to the beach.

Apartment rental per occupant is:

• Single bedroom apartment, single occupancy (total occupant -1) $5,000/semester
• Double bedroom apartment, single occupancy (total occupants -2) $4,200/semester per person

Rent may be paid in advance for each semester and includes utilities, such as electric and water, however telephone and television expenses are separate.

* A security deposit of $1650 is payable to reserve housing.

* Assignments are on a first-come-first-serve basis.
