Associate Professor of Anatomy
Dr. Pearson earned his Doctor of Philosophy degree from the Department of Anatomy and Neuroscience at the University of Tennessee-Memphis in 1999. Dr. Pearson published several research papers on the reorganization of the cerebral cortex after traumatic limb amputation as a basis of phantom limb representation.
He completed post doctoral fellowships at the Department of Anesthesiology and Palliative Care at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (MD Anderson Hospital), Howard University Department of Anatomy and Proteomics, Inc. where he examined the cellular basis of neuropathic pain.
