Dr. Adams earned his B.A. in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts-Boston and both his M.A. degree and Ph.D. degree in Clinical Psychology from Michigan State University. For many years after graduation, Dr. Adams had a private practice in East Lansing, Michigan.In 1997, Dr. Adams moved to Trinidad and Tobago where he was employed at the University of the West Indies, Faculty of Medical Sciences. Dr. Adams was a Lecturer in the Department of Clinical Medicine/Psychiatry Unit, as well as provided psychological services at a public hospital and did clinical teachings for fourth-year medical students. He was also the Student Counselor for the medical students and regularly provided student-oriented workshops.

Dr. Adams joined us at AUC in November 2008. In his role as the Wellness Counselor, Dr. Adams provides individual and couples therapy, crisis intervention and consultations, as well as providing a New Student Orientation, Stress Management Workshops and Relaxation Sessions.
