Visiting Assistant Professor of Pathology

American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine

Dr. Dougherty is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Pathology at American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine. He also serves as the Medical Director of Laboratories at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington and Ironton campuses, and is an Associate Professor of the Marshall University School of Medicine, Huntington, W. Va. Prior to his service at these facilities, he held positions in the pathology departments at several military installations, including the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology, Washington, D.C.; 48th Medical Group RAF Lakenheath, United Kingdom; Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, Germany; Wilford Hall Medical Center, Lackland Air Force Base, Texas; and Kessler Air Force Base Medical Center, Mississippi.

Dr. Dougherty is a graduate of Creighton University and its School of Medicine. He completed his internship at the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base Medical Center, his residency at the Wilford Hall Medical Center and a fellowship at The Blood Center of Southeastern Wisconsin. He is a member of the American Association of Blood Banks, College of American Pathology.
