Enrollment Checklist

Enrollment Reservation Fee

A non-refundable enrollment fee in the amount of U.S. $1,000 payable to American University of the Caribbean is due within 1 month of acceptance to reserve your seat in the class.  The Enrollment Reservation Fee confirms your acceptance of our offer of admission to AUC.  Should the fee not be received within the time specified above, you will be deemed to have rejected our offer.  On matriculation, the enrollment fee will be applied toward your first semester tuition.  A receipt for your enrollment fee will be sent to you once payment is received. Technical Standards

Enclosed in your acceptance packet is the official AUC Technical Standards form. After reading the document, please complete, sign, date and return the form to AUC together with your Enrollment Reservation Fee.  Please be advised that this form must be completed and returned to AUC within 1 month of acceptance or you will not be able to matriculate.

On-Campus Housing

Incoming students are eligible to apply to live in AUC’s on-campus housing. Rooms are reserved on a first-come-first-serve basis. If you are interested in reserving on-campus housing, please complete the Housing Request form. Health Clearance Certificate

Your primary care physician must complete, sign date the Student Health Clearance Certificate form.You must obtain all required medical tests or immunizations.  Once it is complete, be sure to sign and date the form yourself and return it to AUC within 1 month of acceptance, but not earlier then 5 months prior to the semester start.

Health Insurance

The government of St. Maarten requires all students to obtain global health insurance coverage to obtain a student visa. AUC has arranged a student health insurance policy through NAGICO(National General Insurance Company N.V.). Students on the Medical Sciences campus who do not have global coverage as required by the government of St. Maarten will not receive a temporary residency permit. Students have the opportunity to enroll dependents with the insurance company during registration. Clinical students are required to have insurance, provided through Monumental, in order to rotate. These requirements are strictly enforced by AUC. Please contact AUC for further information at 305-446-0600, ext. 1048.
