Prior to traveling to St. Maarten it is important that you secure the necessary documentation. For your convenience, we have listed the documents that you (and your family) will need in order to live on the island of St. Maarten while you study at AUC. If your country of origin is not listed below, please contact your consulate's office to inquire about the required travel documents. Temporary Residency Permit Documents:
To acquire a temporary residency permit, you will need to provide MEAS with the following documents for yourself (and anyone who will be living with you on St. Maarten) 30 days prior to the start of the semester:
- A legible copy of the "Identification" page of a valid and signed passport
- Three original passport size photographs (2x2)
- Police Report/Letter of Good Standing from your local Police Department (less than 6 months old)
- Proof of a roundtrip airline ticket
- Copy of Marriage Certificate - must bring original with you
St. Maarten Entry Requirements:
To acquire a temporary residency permit, you will need to provide MEAS with the following documents for yourself (and anyone who will be living with you on St. Maarten) 30 days prior to the start of the semester:
United States Citizens / Residents
- Valid passport and a return/continuing ticket
- Naturalized citizens must show an original naturalization certificate with photo identification and a return/continuing ticket
- Permanent Residents (Green Card) must have a valid passport and a return/continuing ticket
Canadian Citizens / Residents
- Valid passport
- Residency permit
- Landing permit
All other Countries
- Visas are required from certain countries. Please contact your consulate to find out if you are required to obtain a visa or other documentation
