Volunteer Programs
Alumni play a pivotal role in the continuing success of the University. As our student body grows, there is an increasing need for alumni volunteers. By volunteering, you can help build the bridge connecting the school and students to the medical community. Alumni participation is not only an expression of college pride, but can also have a huge effect on students' medical education and career paths.
No matter where you live, or what your time constraints are, there is a volunteer opportunity to keep you connected to your alma mater. We hope you become a member and stay involved!
Alumni Volunteers
You’re an invaluable resource for AUC as we recruit new students, increase our visibility and establish a strong alumni network. Our growing pool of graduates practicing medicine throughout the world helps us extend our reach into a wider community while building name recognition for the institution. You’re not only helping to shape the career paths of future medical professionals, but you’re also helping to increase the value of your degree.
Here’s what you can do:
- Recruit applicants - Become a voice for the University in your region by representing AUC at recruiting fairs and open houses. You’ll attend these events with AUC admissions staff to help recruit quality applicants and share your medical school experience with prospective students.
- Alumni Contact - Assist our prospective and current students by answering questions and concerns about campus life, residency and licensure through phone conversations or via email. Your success as an alumnus from the University can have a tremendous effect on applicants and students. It’s a great way to show a personal interest in each applicant and encourage admitted students to attend AUC.
- Plan reunions- Renew friendships and help bring former classmates together through the Alumni Association’s 2008 Alumni reunion. Reunion committee members attend meetings in person or by teleconference. You’ll carry out committee initiatives, contact classmates, plan activities, determine a reunion site, and promote reunion attendance.
