American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine (AUC) is proud to announce the addition of two new titles – Color Atlas of Pediatrics and Color Atlas of Internal Medicine, co-authored by Heidi Chumley, MD, Executive Dean and Chief Academic Officer— to its collection of medical education resources available through the university library.
“It is crucial for future physicians to have access to quality resources which aid their ability to organize information in the same manner as practicing physicians,” said Dean Chumley. “Atlases provide a stimulating means for students to begin to understand what they are seeing and how visual information is used in developing a differential diagnosis and treatment plan,” she says.
The textbooks, published by McGraw Hill, offer full-color illustrations, introductory cases, complete patient management guidelines, and evidence grades for diagnosis and treatment recommendations.
Dr. Chumley is a leader in medical education and has been recognized with national awards for teaching, leadership, and scholarship. She has previously co-authored other medical education textbooks including Color Atlas of Family Medicine, first and second editions.
