AUC has moved boldly into the future of medical education through the implementation of innovative teaching programs, state-of-the-art laboratories and supplemental electronic curriculum delivery.

Research & Computer Labs

To optimize teaching and learning, AUC has the following facilities available for student use:

Library

You will find the library at American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine as technologically advanced as it is comfortable and intimate.

Maintaining a collection of more than 5,000 items, including books, videos, DVDs, CDs, and 75 journals in print, the library offers students virtually every needed academic resource, and also serves as a popular gathering space for study groups.

The library also offers Wi-Fi, and its catalog is Web-based allowing students to access holdings from anywhere that they have Internet access. Furthermore, students have campus-wide access to “UpToDate,” (an online database for clinical research), as well as six computer stations, DVD players, faculty recommended software programs and print and photocopy services.

IVIMEDS

American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine has always had a visionary spirit. Nowhere is this more evident than its participation in the innovative International Virtual Medical School program (IVIMEDS), which provides distinctive e-learning resources to AUC’s faculty and students.

IVIMEDS is a worldwide partnership of leading medical schools and institutions that have come together to share digital learning resources and educational services. IVIMEDS has developed a repository of learning objects, which allow faculty flexibility in the choice of curricular content, and provides the opportunity to customize content in order to meet specific educational needs of students.

As a result of AUC’s participation in IVIMEDS, our students essentially broaden their scope of learning to include the resources and expertise of the following partner institutions:
