AUC Up Close events are small group sessions where prospective students get together with AUC admissions colleagues to hear personalized feedback about applying to AUC, engage in open discussion about our MD program, and discuss anything under the sun related to medical school.

W. Daniel Rusinow, MD (Class of 2013) is a PGY-3 family medicine resident at St. John Hospital and Medical Center, Detroit. Dr. Rusinow is one of two chief residents in the family medicine program.
Kate Essad, MD (Class of 2012) is a neurologist and fellow at the Sports Neurology Clinic at The CORE Institute in Michigan, where she specializes in treatment of concussion, post-concussion syndrome, and neurological disorders in athletes. She completed a residency in neurology at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, New Hampshire.
Jim Fontanesi, MD (Class of 1982) is the Director of Radiation/Oncology at Botsford Cancer Center, Farmington Hills. He completed a residency in therapeutic radiology at St. Mary’s Hospital and Medical Center/West Coast Cancer Foundation, San Francisco, followed by a brachytherapy fellowship at University of California Davis/Veterans Administration Hospital, Mather, CA.
