Through our partnership with the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan), in Preston, U.K., AUC offers a 6-year Medical Doctor (MD) degree program. 

Who is this open to?

This innovative and exciting degree track is open to qualified students who have not yet earned a university level bachelor degree or who are missing required compulsory science courses. 

Students begin this program by earning a BSc (Hons) Medical Sciences from UCLan. This is an accelerated two-year program that provides a unique opportunity to gain a scientific degree, which is embedded within a clinically-focused curriculum.

The BSc (Hons) Medical Sciences has been recognized by AUC as granting equivalent credit for the first semester of its own five-semester medical sciences curriculum. Students who successfully complete the BSc (Hons) Medical Sciences degree at 2.1 or above have the option to remain in the U.K. or move to AUC’s Sint Maarten Campus to complete the medical sciences portion of the medical degree program, beginning with thesecond semester. Students who remain in the U.K. will be eligible to earn a Post Graduate Diploma in International Medical Sciences from the University of Central Lancashire, which AUC recognizes as equivalent to its own medical sciences curriculum.
