FR. JEFF HAMBLIN, MD
Board of Trustees

The Rev’d Jeffrey L. Hamblin, MD is a graduate of the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine. He presently serves as Educational Coordinator and Physician Specialist at Kings County Hospital in New York. Dr. Hamblin also works in the Psychiatric Emergency Room at Kings County as psychiatrist in charge and is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Downstate SUNY in Brooklyn with teaching responsibilities in the classroom as well as on the clinical service.
He serves as a psychiatric consultant to the New York State Research programs of the Infant Child Learning Center and the H.E.A.T. program. He received his bachelor’s degree from Indiana University, and his Masters of Divinity in 1980 from Nashotah House, Nashotah, Wisconsin. He was ordained to the priesthood in 1980. Dr. Hamblin worked towards a Doctorate of Ministry at Drew University, and holds a Masters in Medical Science from AUC (1990). He completed a residency in psychiatry at SUNY Downstate, Brooklyn in 1997 and his fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in 1999. He serves at St. Clements Episcopal Church in Manhattan, and is also involved in producing musical theatre and cabaret in New York City.
Dr. Hamblin has served on the AUC board of trustees since 1993 in various capacities, including Chairman of the Board of Trustees. He is a member of the Alumni Association and has assisted at open houses and other events. His unique combination of medicine and ministry, academics and ethics has served the purposes of AUC well.
