AUC hosted its first breast awareness and community screening event of 2019 this past Saturday, March 23. Nearly 30 women came out to Philipsburg’s Vineyard Building to receive a free breast exam and speak with AUC faculty and students about breast abnormalities, including cancer risk factors.
The universities are partnering to offer a new blended program, to enable students from the U.K. and across the world to study towards their accredited medical qualification, the Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree.
AUC is pleased to welcome Mrs. Aruna Ullal to our Sint Maarten Academic Support Team as Academic Support Counselor. She will begin her new position on Monday, February 18, 2019 and will be stationed in Building 2, Office 127.
Through this partnership, AUC will collaborate with USM and NIPA in the areas of support in education and research, community service, the development of public policy, and voluntary sharing of resources in post-secondary, tertiary, and higher education for the benefit and well-being of Sint Maarten.
AUC is pleased to announce the appointments of Dr. Erika Regalado and Dr. Kaleem Rizvon as incoming Clinical Chairs for Pediatrics and Internal Medicine effective January 29, 2019.

During AUC’s 40th Anniversary Reception in Sint Maarten, Executive Dean Dr. Heidi Chumley honored six colleagues with a Service Appreciation Award for their 20 or more years of employment with the university.
Faculty-student research collaborations are a staple at AUC, and we’re proud to acknowledge two recent publications from members of the AUC community.
The AUC St. Maarten Partnership Scholarships cover the full cost of tuition at AUC and are available to eligible St. Maarten residents.
Saturday marked the final community breast-screening event of the year for medical students and fellows involved in a breast abnormalities research project.
