Douglas   Burns PhD

Associate Professor, Molecular Cell Biology

Dr. Douglas Burns graduated with a BA in Biological Science from the University of Missouri-Columbia in Columbia, Missouri and a PhD in Molecular Biology from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. He conducted post-doctoral research in Biochemistry, Metabolism, and Molecular Biology at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and later in Neuroendocrinology, Cell Physiology, and Bone Metabolism at the University of Washington-Seattle.

Dr. Burns has 30 years of teaching experience in Biochemisty and Molecular Biology and has held faculty positions at Benedictine College, University of Kansas Medical Center, Blue River Campus, and State Fair Community College in Kansas.
