*The 3-year first-time residency attainment rate is the weighted average of the 2023-24, through 2025-26 academic years. For each year, the rate is the percent of students attaining a residency out of all graduates or expected graduates in the year who were active applicants in the NRMP match in that year or who attained a residency outside the NRMP match in that year. For 2025-26, the first-time residency attainment rate is over 98%.

- Jyotsna Pandey
Jyotsna Pandey, MD PhD
Dr. Jyotsna Pandey is a board-certified anatomic and clinical pathologist, now focused on medical education and community health, particularly for older adults. Dr. Pandey earned her MBBS and MD (Pathology) from Banaras Hindu University in India, with residency training in pathology, later specializing in hematopathology and cytopathology. She held academic positions at Lady Hardinge Medical College, Sucheta Kriplani Hospital, Lohia Hospital, and Vardhaman Mahavir Medical College of Medical Siences/Safdarjung Hospital, where she served as Professor, Director of the Clinical Pathology residency program, and Chair of Cytopathology.
She also supervised over 30 postgraduate dissertations and contributed to the Indian Association of Pathology and Microbiology, including editorial work with its journal. Dr. Pandey worked at Oakland University, the NIH’s National Cancer Institute. Her research focused on tumor angiogenesis and lung cancer metastasis. She joined Ross University School of Medicine in 2008 as part of the leadership team and CMU College of Medicine in 2016, where she continued to champion active teaching and learning methods, community-education projects with several major grant fundings. She holds two WHO fellowships and has received numerous honors including the AACR-Aflac Cancer Research Award, NIH Fellows Award for Research Excellence, medical education and mentoring awards.
Dr. Pandey has over 100 peer-reviewed publications and contributed to books and chapters. She has worked on organization committee of national and international conferences, reviewed for medical education and pathology journals and is on editorial board of Medical Education journals. She has organized and delivered workshops and spoken at numerous national and international conferences.
