Kaleem Rizvon, MD, FACP, FACG, is the Chief of Gastroenterology and Hepatology and the Director of Endoscopy at Nassau University Medical Center (NUMC) in East Meadow, New York. He has formerly served as Associate Residency Program Director but his career with NUMC began in 1993 during his residency in Internal Medicine. Dr. Rizvon has authored several publications and book chapters and is often invited to speak with the media. He has received multiple Teacher of the Year awards and was honored in 2018 with AUC’s Clinical Faculty Teaching Award among hundreds of clinical faculty.
In addition to his clinical interests, Dr. Rizvon has taken on leadership roles developing his department’s undergraduate medical education program. He has served on national curriculum development projects and authored a core curriculum book for NUMC in 2001. In 2011, he was appointed the hospital’s Internal Medicine Clerkship Site Director for AUC students. He began his position as AUC's Clinical Chair of Internal Medicine in January 2019.
