Naga Dharshan Devendra, MD
Dr. Naga Dharshan Devendra is a clinical biochemist with over 11 years of experience in teaching Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Genetics to medical students in India, Caribbean and the US. Dr. Naga Dharshan Devendra completed his medical school and clinical training in 2005 and later completed his residency in clinical biochemistry from Jawaharlal Institute for Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), one of the top medical universities in India. After completing the residency in 2010, he moved to Xavier University School of Medicine, Aruba where he worked as assistant professor in department of biochemistry for 2 years. He then took up the role as an associate professor and course director in department of Biochemistry and genetics at Trinity School of Medicine, St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
Before moving to AUC, he was associated with Becker professional education as a subject matter expert for Biochemistry and Genetics for the USMLE Step 1 programme. He also co-authored the “Becker Biochemistry and Genetics book” during his role with Becker. His passion for medical education and his level of understanding of Biochemistry, combined with the skills to express information in an accessible way for his students has earned him “Best Professor” award multiple times in his career by various student government bodies.
