Grzegorz Plochocki, MD, CHSE
Dr. Plochocki is a Professor of Clinical Medicine at AUC. In 1996, Dr. Plochocki graduated with honors from Warsaw Medical University and obtained his doctor of medicine degree from the First Faculty of Medicine in Warsaw, Poland.
From 1999 to 2006, he trained in internal medicine in four Warsaw Clinical hospitals. He obtained a certificate from the Polish Ultrasound Society to perform ultrasound examinations and performed endoscopic examinations for several years.
Dr. Plochocki first joined AUC in 2005 as a Visiting Professor with the Introduction to Clinical Medicine (ICM) department. Two years later, he became a full-time faculty member and has since served in various positions, including Chair of Behavioral and Clinical Medicine (BCM), while also leading numerous initiatives to enhance students' academic experience. He has been integral in the design and oversight of AUC’s clinical skills simulation lab and high tech simulation (he personally designed 11 and programmed 19 clinical cases) and is currently working on the introduction of ultrasound into the curriculum. In 2016 he met all the certification requirements and became the Certified Simulation Healthcare Educator. In 2018 he led the team to introduce Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) type of assessment into AUC curriculum for the 3rd and 5th semester students.
