*The 3-year first-time residency attainment rate is the weighted average of the 2022-23, through 2024-25 academic years. For each year, the rate is the percent of students attaining a residency out of all graduates or expected graduates in the year who were active applicants in the NRMP match in that year or who attained a residency outside the NRMP match in that year. The 1-year first-time residency attainment rate is 95% for 2024-2025 graduates.

- Sinem Cankardas Nalbantcilar
Sinem Cankardas Nalbantcilar, PhD, MSc, MA, BA
Dr. Sinem Cankardas Nalbantcilar is a Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society and a Registered Applied Psychologist with the HCPC. She has PhD in clinical psychology and also MSc in applied public health, with extensive academic and clinical experience across Turkey and the UK. Dr. Cankardas Nalbantcilar’s clinical expertise focuses on treatment of trauma and stress related disorders. Her research interests center on psychological trauma, disaster mental health, and the psychosocial effects of interpersonal violence. She has contributed to international research projects such as the Balkan Epidemiological Study on Child Abuse and Neglect (BECAN) and the European COST Action 19106 "Euro-CAN," which applies a multidisciplinary approach to understanding and addressing child maltreatment across Europe. Throughout her career, Dr. Cankardas Nalbantcilar has developed and co-led multiple projects investigating mental health challenges following natural disasters and violence exposure. She has also researched the psychosocial challenges faced by disaster response volunteers and first responders. Additionally, she provides training and supervision in trauma-focused interventions and continues to mentor early-career clinicians and researchers.
