Clinical Chair, Obstetrics and Gynecology


Dr. Stone is a consultant obstetrician and gynecologist, with a special interest in maternal medicine, at St. Richard’s Hospital in Chichester, UK. She is in charge of the care of the pregnant women with medical conditions and participates in the acute consultant on call rota and labor ward. She is clinical lead for antenatal clinic, day assessment unit and diabetic pregnancy services and research. She is principal and site investigator for a number of ongoing national multicenter trials.

Dr. Stone became affiliated with AUC as OB-GYN clerkship director in 2015. She also oversees the UK medical student attachments. She serves as an educational and clinical supervisor for specialty trainees in obstetrics and gynecology. She lectures regularly on maternal medicine subjects. She is a qualified MOET (Managing Obstetric Emergencies and Trauma) and advanced life support instructor.

Her background is obstetric medicine. After graduating from Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Medical Schools, University of London, she began her specialization at St. Thomas’ Hospital. As a clinical research fellow in obstetrics and gynecology, she had the privilege of working with many experts in the field of obstetric/maternal Medicine. She was awarded an MD in 2004 and became a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2005. She has published extensively on medical problems in pregnancy and presented her research at international conferences. She is a member of the MacDonald Obstetric Medicine Society & the British Maternal Fetal Medicine Society (BMFMS). She also holds qualifications in History of Medicine, a Diploma in Family Planning and Reproductive Health Care and and a Certificate from the Qualified Educational Supervisors Programme.
