*The 3-year first-time residency attainment rate is the weighted average of the 2022-23, through 2024-25 academic years. For each year, the rate is the percent of students attaining a residency out of all graduates or expected graduates in the year who were active applicants in the NRMP match in that year or who attained a residency outside the NRMP match in that year. The 1-year first-time residency attainment rate is 95% for 2024-2025 graduates.
AUC and University of Wolverhampton Partnership
*Conditional acceptance: All admitted University of Wolverhampton 2-year accelerated Bachelor in Medical Sciences students will receive conditional acceptance to AUC at their time of enrollment in University of Wolverhampton. Students will know that they have secured a place in medical school, pending the fulfillment of the admission requirements for the MD degree. AUC will guarantee a seat for those who meet the admission requirements for the MD degree.
University of Wolverhampton Bachelor of medical science graduates who have not fulfilled all Direct Admission Requirements may still apply to AUC through the standard application process.
WLV graduates who successfully complete the 2-year accelerated Bachelor in Medical Sciences degree, within five years of applying to AUC, and with a minimum marks upper second class, will be considered for direct entry into semester 2 of the 4-year AUC Doctor of Medicine (MD) program. To receive direct entry, University of Wolverhampton graduates must provide a minimum of two letters of recommendation: one from the University of Wolverhampton’s Science Faculty and one professional letter of recommendation; final, official transcripts directly from the University of Wolverhampton. If the student cannot provide a professional letter of recommendation, we will accept two academic letters of recommendation.
Stay the Course or Explore Global Health
Students entering the 6-year pathway in the U.K. have the ability to remain in the U.K. after securing their bachelor’s degree to continue their MD at AUC’s U.K. Track in Preston and fulfill their clerkships in the UK.
Students have the choice of the U.K. for their clerkships, or the U.S. or a combination of both U.K. and U.S. With so much flexibility, students co-design their medical education pathway to MD for a truly global experience.
Students have the opportunity to participate in global health electives in six countries.
