November 11th is the one day we set aside each year to honor those who have served and those who continue to serve. A number of countries honor their veterans each year on this date, although the name and type of commemorations may differ.
No matter which branch you may have served, the moment you raised your right hand and made the commitment to serve your country was a brave and selfless act. AUC School of Medicine understands that life is not the same as before but whenever we surround ourselves with fellow veterans, life begins to look better. As veterans, we always challenge ourselves to continue building upon our success from the military.
Veterans have experiences that give them unique strengths—strengths that benefit their peers and our university community, and strengths that keep them going in the pursuit of a medical degree. Together, we will continue to build relationships by developing an environment of belonging and support for all AUC School of Medicine student veterans.
Please join us on November 13, 2019 from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm in the courtyard to celebrate all veterans, but specially those veterans enrolled in our university. We will be honoring our them by giving ribbons to everyone.
