AUC considers many factors when reviewing medical school applications. The following are among the fundamental requirements we consider for acceptance to our MD program.

At a minimum, medical school candidates must have:

Completed undergraduate requirements for medical school

Obtained  a degree from an accredited university—either a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent—in a discipline (a science-focused discipline is preferable)

Completed two semesters each of biology, general chemistry, organic chemistry, or biochemistry, and one semester of either physics, calculus, or statistics
