Q: What inspired you to pursue leadership of the AUC AMWA chapter?

For Deyanna “Dee” Boston, MD, the path to becoming a physician was more one of “Ready… set…one day.” After graduating from college and getting her graduate degree, she spent more than a decade project managing for pharmaceutical companies, and as a fashion stylist, building a team of consultants
February is Black History Month, a time to honor achievements and celebrate excellence throughout the Black community.
Hosted in the Mitchell and Kenyon Cinema on the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) campus, the event commemorated new students’ official entrance into medical school and recognized continuing students’ outstanding academic achievements.
American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine (AUC) has been granted continued accreditation by the Accreditation Commission on Colleges of Medicine (ACCM) for the maximum accreditation period of six years through 2027.
A Clinical Fellow in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School/Boston Children’s Hospital, Dr. Sharif has spent the last several months intimately working on the immigration crisis, helping to evaluate and support the children of families seeking asylum in the United States.
A longstanding university tradition that embodies AUC’s values of social accountability and engagement, Community Action Day connects students and colleagues with local organizations for a day of service each semester to focus on community priorities.
