Dr Peter Chovanec

Peter Chovanec, PhD, is an Associate Professor and Senior Lecturer in Molecular Cell Biology at the AUC School of Medicine's UK Track program. Dr. Chovanec is a faculty member at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) in Preston UK, where the program is delivered.

Dr. Peter Chovanec holds an MSc and PhD in biochemistry from the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, Slovakia.  From 2002-2011, Dr. Chovanec conducted post-doctoral research at several large academic institutions, including Stockholm University in Sweden, the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom, and Duquesne University in the United States. His research, which focused on applying state-of-the-art technologies across a range of disciplines and involvement in several projects, has been widely published in international journals and textbooks.

Dr. Chovanec has served as fulltime faculty at international medical schools in the Caribbean, including the University of St. Eustatius School of Medicine in St. Eustatius, Saba University School of Medicine in Saba, and Medical University of the Americas in Nevis, West Indies.
