Natural disasters, disease outbreaks, mass shootings: Physicians are increasingly called on to lead and serve in large scale emergencies. With these incidents on the rise, how can you prepare?
This March, the Caribbean Center for Disaster Medicine will host the 2nd International Conference on Disaster Medicine and Hurricane Resiliency—a four-day CME conference at AUC's campus in Sint Maarten. Professionals and experts from around the world to share insights and expertise on preparing for and managing disasters, building disaster management capacity, and educating and training in the health professions.
AUC is once again excited to collaborate on this event with Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Inc. and our regional partners in St. Maarten and the Caribbean. The inaugural conference, held in March 2019, brought together over 280 people representing 12 countries and 9 Caribbean islands, with Continuing Medical Education credit available via the American Academy of Family Physicians.
We invite all AUC alumni to revisit the Caribbean for this special conference. Act soon because seats are filling up and our early bird discount expires on October 31.
