*The 3-year first-time residency attainment rate is the weighted average of the 2022-23, through 2024-25 academic years. For each year, the rate is the percent of students attaining a residency out of all graduates or expected graduates in the year who were active applicants in the NRMP match in that year or who attained a residency outside the NRMP match in that year. The 1-year first-time residency attainment rate is 95% for 2024-2025 graduates.
A U.S. MD is one path. AUC is another—and for many, it’s the right one.
Not because expectations are lower — but because support, structure, and opportunity look different.
Finding a medical school can feel overwhelming — especially when your path hasn’t been traditional. At AUC, we don’t lower expectations or promise shortcuts. Our program is built on a simple idea: when determined students are given a strong foundation, clear expectations, and sustained support, they don’t just persist—they progress, graduate, and move forward into residency.
“Not every future doctor starts at the same place, but the right starting place can change everything and empower you to reach your full potential.”
Mark Rosenberg, MD, FASN
Dean of AUC

**First-time pass rate is the number of students passing the USMLE Step 1 exam on the first attempt divided by the number of students whose first attempt was in 2020-2024. In order to sit for the USMLE Step 1 exam students must successfully complete the Medical Sciences curriculum.
***First-time pass rate is the number of students passing the USMLE Step 2 CK exam on the first attempt divided by the number of students whose first attempt was in 2019-2023. In order to sit for the exam students must earn an acceptable score on the NBME CCSE as listed in the catalog.
AUC unlocks your potential starting with USMLE Step 1
Across key MCAT score ranges, AUC students achieve Step 1 first-time pass rates higher than U.S. MD students.*
*Comparison using university and AAMC data. Data is based on students who matriculated between 2020-2022 and sat for the USMLE Step 1. Not all matriculants sat for the USMLE Step 1 exam. Students must successfully matriculate, complete the Medical Sciences curriculum and pass a school approved Medical Sciences Comprehensive Exam to sit for the USMLE Step 1 exam.
