We are delighted to share that our AUC SXM Campus Research Symposium took place in person Sint Maarten on Saturday, March 29, 2025. This semester’s symposium was hosted by the Student Government Association (SGA) and the Scholarly Activity & Research Committee (SARC) and featured ten wonderful presentations on clinical cases, biomedical sciences, social sciences, and advances in medical technology. Students and faculty alike gathered to enjoy food and enlightening academic discourse as our 45 presenters showcased their scholarly endeavors from this semester. We are proud to announce our 4 winning teams from the event, who were scored by a panel of expert faculty judges for their content, research, and overall quality of their presentations.
In recognition of their hard work and dedication, each winning group was awarded a well-deserved certificate, along with a $50 gift card to a delightful neighborhood restaurant — a small token of appreciation for their exceptional contributions! Furthermore, every student who participated received a personalized certificate celebrating their individual efforts and achievements, underscoring the value of their commitment to advancing knowledge and research in our community.
The quality of presentations and the stimulating discussions that followed were truly inspiring, and it was wonderful to witness the enthusiasm and passion of our students as they engaged with their peers. Their relentless pursuit of excellence is a testament to the dedication we have cultivated within our academic community.
We would like to thank all students, faculty, technical support, SGA president and two Research Chairs Nilka Rivera and Sheldon Williams, Dr. Naira Chobanyan SARC chair and the SARC team for making this event possible.
