*The 3-year first-time residency attainment rate is the weighted average of the 2022-23, through 2024-25 academic years. For each year, the rate is the percent of students attaining a residency out of all graduates or expected graduates in the year who were active applicants in the NRMP match in that year or who attained a residency outside the NRMP match in that year. The 1-year first-time residency attainment rate is 95% for 2024-2025 graduates.

Dr Elizabeth Walker, (MBBS BSc (hons), MRCPsych
Dr. Walker was appointed as Psychiatry Chair in 2024 after serving as the Psychiatry Clerkship Director at Stepping Hill Hospital, Stockport, Manchester, UK, since 2010. During her tenure, she has earned recognition for her dedication to teaching, receiving multiple AUC Faculty Teaching Awards.
Dr. Walker’s clinical expertise lies in adult inpatient and community psychiatry, with a particular focus on addressing mental health needs in underserved and deprived areas and treating substance misuse disorders. She brings a wealth of experience to her role, having practiced psychiatry for nearly three decades.
A graduate of St. George's Hospital Medical School in London, Dr. Walker qualified as a physician in 1996. Her career has been marked by a commitment to fostering the growth and development of future medical professionals. She is passionate about mentoring and encouraging students in their studies, ensuring that every future doctor gains a strong foundation in mental health care.
Dr. Walker looks forward to continuing her work with students, emphasizing the importance of mental health in clinical practice and inspiring the next generation of compassionate and skilled healthcare providers.
